PRODUCT INFO
100% Alpaca is very soft. I dehaired it (removing the thick guard hairs that would make it prickly) leaving you with a very soft and smooth hand to this scarf.
CARE
Rough use and friction will stress and wear down any garment. I tend to work with delicate fibers, that apparently wears faster and are therefore not very suitable use for hard labor. Next to skin soft, though!!! And warm. When I spin by hand, I make what is referred to as worsted spun yarn, as opposed to woolen spun. Worsted is the more durable yarn, to make sure it will last you a long time under normal use.
- Do not dry clean or use chlorine, oxyclean, etc.! Most chemicals destroy the protein in animal fibers.
- Soak and wash gently in lukewarm water by hand, with baby shampoo or mild detergent. Use hair conditioner or regular softener if desired.
- Do not wring, or twist like a washcloth. It will twist and distort the fabric. Gently squeeze the excess water.
- Lay flat on a big towel, roll it up, and squeeze to remove the water.
- Lay flat to dry.
- Steam or gently press with damp cloth if you want to touch up appearance.
PAYMENT, SHIPPING & RETURNS
Payment As I make one-of-a-kind items, it is important to match you with what you really will enjoy. Method(s) of payment and shipping comes after that. Contact me through the form at the bottom of the Home-page. Thanks!
Returns. All sales are final. As an artist I stand by my work, but have little wiggle room to operate as a fancy business. I will answer all questions you have to avoid any disappointments. There are always going to be some irregularices in handmade items. I see them as design elements, telling a story, adding interest, otherwise I will correct them during the creation of it.
